Two future things for fast 3D game development

You'll need a ultimate computer to run the games, as the big part of work is done by the GPU. Also the games will take less time to develop and release.

As game industry release games with graphics getting better, also it require more time to develop. Taking an example the first GTA 3D games GTA3, GTA VC and GTA SA had max two or three years to develop. Currently a GTA games takes four, five, six and more years to release and the time required to make increasing. In last years two thing came out to help developers to create games faster with real time Ray Tracing and Procedural Textures (not used yet in games due to graphics power requirement). With these two recent things games will require less time to release games in future with AAA extreme graphics for next generations, as it's simpler because the GPU do the mathematical job to draw the graphics with these new things. I'm not saying that you will not need to take screenshots of real buildings for measurement part, but the texture will look better it you make with Procedural texture that do not need UV correction (that take a lot of work, and not looks perfect at all). As Procedural Texture do the mathematical job for PBR textures images creation and UV, Ray Tracing do the mathematical job of lights as real time reflection with sky and light effect automatically as in real life.
